Steel fire doors will provide rapid personnel exit as well as delivering better security advantages over traditionally constructed doors in timber, aluminium or PVC. SRL’s steel fire doors are robust and strong, and when installed correctly can be extremely difficult to breech.
Modern hollow steel doors offer a solid, secure solution that performs well and looks good too. SRL’s steel fire exit doors can be fitted with the same optional extras as exit doors such as letter boxes, spy viewers, kick plates, vision panels, and louvered panels for ventilation. For larger openings fixed side panels and top panels are also available; these can be solid or glazed.
SRL’s steel fire-rated doors and frames are tested and certified to LPS 1056 1, 2, 3 and 4 Hour fire standards. They offer ideal security for personnel access, heavy-duty use and fire-rated escape exit. The fire-rated door-set options are single or double leaf and are all made to measure. Supplied in a standard colour RAL 7015 (Grey), although other powder coat finished colours are available if required.
All our fire-rated doors are polyester powder coat finish as standard. The fire- rated door-set leafs are comprised of a thick composite construction of 1.25mm steel skins and a bonded honeycomb core infill. Each leaf is supplied with two high-load ball-race hinges. The frame is constructed of folded steel section with butt joints. Each frame is provided with fixing plates welded into the frame for installation into conventional openings.

The fire-rated shutter is widely used in schools, catering kitchens, stair cores, hospitals and all types of fire screens.
Fire-rated roller shutters can be operated via a key switch, paddle switch or remote control and linked to the fire alarm via a standard alarm interface or and audio visual alarm interface.
